Monster Toy and Packaging: Sketches

It seems I've been doing a lot of monsters lately. I guess it all started with the zombies. Anyhoo. This little guy is a present I made for a lovely gentleman this past Christmas. He is the computer monster, he who causes all frustration computer related. System malfunctions, viruses, delayed start-up, spinning beachballs and perpetually turning sand-clocks.... he's to blame for the works!
So I'm making him a little box for a school assignment. These are my sketches for the box and the series logo, with a moodboard of the things I'm looking at for logo inspiration.

the naked swimmer, round sixty seven... final?

We're scheduled to review everyone's images for the portfolio day postcard today. One lucky dreamer will have their life's aspirations fulfilled and be selected as the winner. Their image will be mass produced and mailed out to a bunch of art directors so we may beg them to come and look at our little workbooks.

Happy Housewives.

I figure there's a chance I'll get a job as a junior designer at one of those periodicals geared towards moms and white suburban housewives, so I better get some practice and portfolio pieces ready. This is a color sketch with (hopefully) final type layout.

One day this will exist.

So after spending three hours putting things away and cleaning things up, I decided to make a comp of how I want my website to look. I'm not sure how to do it, but it's really simple so I should be able to. The bean will look better in the final.

I'm glad my mom convinced me not to use hot pink.

web. shite.

We're in the final session of our website development workshop. I have pages of sketches of how I want my site to look. And yet...

I maintain optimism though. "Why doesn't this look good" is nothing I haven't dealt with before.
