I think the drawing on the second version is better, but overall I still like the composition of the first one best. I miss the shadow and the perspective of the first, and I failed to capture the same level of sneakiness in his stance with the second one. But I'll be damned if I do this (fur, king) bear another time.
Seeing these two side-by-side really shows off your growth. However,I do still like the feel of the first one. Maybe you could use that style for smaller spot illustrations and/or black and white pieces.
