Ahwooogah. Bahloooogah.

Happy Summer from Joe Jonas and Betty Beluga.

"Oh Betty, you're so fun to frolic with!"

"Rwahhhgwuaahyaraah"

Below the Funk.

This was fun.

Pages from my sketchbook, fathers day edition

Dear Dad,

Thank you for the genetic makeup. Due to your genes, I am able to live my life with the strength and vigor of our viking ancestors. This has been very helpful to me, and I thank you for that. Happy Father's Day.

I present...I.

Playtime. Not the best thing I've ever done, but not everything needs to be.

Check out my sweet potbelly. Potbellies are sexy, Butch.

The Alphabattle they've got going is awesome and there are some really talented submitters. It's a great source of inspiration and motivation, and a fun project!

Pages from my sketchbook

Because everyone likes to catch a glimpse into the creative process, and because people seemed to really enjoy the title designs in my senior thesis pieces... here's some type sketches from the earlier stages of that project.

And because I like that every time I show someone my sketchbook they always end up saying "What the hell, Kristin?" ...here's some of the weird stuff I think about to keep myself entertained.

H is for happiness, hermitage, hamsters, and hatred

...and these are a few of my favorite things. But of all the aforementioned, I think this particular H suits the latter best.

My mom says it feels masculine, like a logo for a chess club for men. She also said it reminds her of some sort of farming shear. I guess those two are related because... Amish people love board games and gender segregation. (I'm the Degrees of Kevin Bacon champ!)

Ummm... yes?

It's like 200 bucks but it's a tax write-off.
...provided I can make $6000 doing freelance this year.

Whaddup G?

It has been a ridiculously jam packed couple of weeks, and now that it's coming to an end, everyone keeps telling me to take a break and relax. They say I've earned it.

Buuuuut sitting is hard for me. This is how I take a break from "work."

And also by doing this:

Which, actually, is more like doing homework than one would immediately realize. I have been learning priceless things from Bugs Bunny cartoons, I'll tell you what.

Magazines magazines. Cortar cortar.

I did two magazine layouts for examples of how my spot illustrations would appear. I'm really just putting off redoing that building in the bear one.

I've been redoing my website again and again... as you may have noticed from the new page banner up there. I'll have a whole post dedicated to what a fiasco that has been. As it stands everything is figured out except the html. Big part to figure out eh? My goal is to have it edited and perfected by Memorial Day.

New Shoes

I got a good night's sleep and redid some things. One of which is that Runner's World Shoe Guide project.

And thank you House Industries for being AWESOME and giving me Signpainter Slant for free. I love you!
